You can not call it invasion or privacy as the Courts generally sided with the Police in relation with plantation of GPS devices in cars. Police generally plant these devices to keep a watch on those whom they suspect of doing anything. The strange thing is that police is tracking such people without even a warrant. The Supreme Court of US has held that for such use of a GPS device a warrant is required.
